Every certified candidate also needs a clean title and a verifiable history. A CARFAX report is required on every certified Toyota, and vehicles with salvage or rebuilt title brands or significant structural damage are disqualified before certification.

The 160-Point Quality Assurance Inspection
Before a Gold Certified Toyota is listed, it passes a 160-point inspection performed by factory-trained technicians — a deep review of the engine, transmission, brakes, electrical and safety systems, and interior and exterior condition. Any component that doesn't meet Toyota's standards is repaired or replaced with genuine parts before the vehicle earns certification, and a road test confirms there are no vibrations, noises, or alignment issues at speed. The inspection report is available for your review, so you can see exactly what was checked. Silver Certified vehicles pass a 136-point inspection.
Certified Hybrids: Extra Battery Protection
If you're considering a certified hybrid, the coverage goes further. Certified Toyota hybrids from the 2020 model year and later carry an enhanced 10-year / 150,000-mile hybrid battery warranty measured from the vehicle's original in-service date — separate from, and on top of, the certified powertrain warranty.

Certified Financing & Value
Certified customers are also eligible for standard new-car financing rates through Toyota Financial Services on qualifying vehicles, which can bring a certified Toyota's monthly payment closer to a standard used car's — even with its higher resale value.
