The AWD setup skips the transfer case and driveshaft. A separate electric motor sits at the rear axle instead. It also does more than react. On off-the-line starts, it sends up to 80 percent of torque rearward before any slip happens. It keeps applying traction as needed at all vehicle speeds. The split shifts with conditions. It runs 100:0 in constant-speed cruising and 20:80 on slippery surfaces. The Multi-Information Display shows it as it changes.

Every grade shares the same foundation, per Toyota's 2026 Sienna press kit: a 2.5-liter engine and eCVT making 245 total system horsepower. Adding all-wheel drive brings in the rear electric motor. Grade-by-Grade Equipment

What separates the grades is chassis tuning, wheels, seating, and equipment.

The LE opens the lineup on 17-inch alloy wheels. For 2026 it gains several features that used to be upgrades. Those include a power rear liftgate with jam protection, rear window shades, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, black roof rails, and an eight-speaker audio system.

The XLE adds hands-free dual power sliding side doors and SofTex-trimmed heated front seats. It also brings an eight-way power driver's seat with power lumbar. The front passenger seat gets four-way power. LED fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, a leather-trimmed telescoping steering wheel, and four-zone automatic climate control round it out.

The XSE brings sport tuning, with revised spring rates, stabilizer bars, and damper calibration. Front-wheel-drive models ride on dark chrome 20-inch split-five-spoke alloy wheels. AWD models use 18-inch wheels. Both wear a black sport mesh grille, black roof rails, and black illuminated mirrors.

The Woodland Edition arrives with standard AWD and nearly a half inch of added ground clearance. It rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. Black badging, dark accents around the grille, and all-weather floor and cargo mats come with it. A 1500W AC power outlet sits in the rear cabin. A factory tow hitch rated for up to 3,500 pounds is standard. Roof rails are standard too, and crossbars are available as an option.

The Limited layers in leather-trimmed heated and ventilated front seats. Its premium leather second-row captain's chairs get the super-long-slide feature and ottomans. A 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster comes standard.

The Platinum tops the range with standard AWD. A 10-inch color Head-Up Display shows speedometer, navigation, and Hybrid System Indicator. A console FridgeBox and integrated vacuum are standard. An available Panoramic View Monitor uses four cameras to build a virtual overhead view of the vehicle's surroundings.

Seating by Grade

Seating varies directly by grade. The LE is an eight-passenger minivan with a second-row bench that includes a stowable center seat. The XLE comes standard as a seven-passenger model with captain's chairs. It is also the only grade above the LE that offers an eight-passenger bench, available on front-wheel-drive models. The XSE, Woodland Edition, Limited, and Platinum are seven-passenger vehicles only.

Second-row comfort scales upward. Captain's chairs on the Limited and Platinum include fold-out ottomans. The Platinum adds heated second-row captain's chairs as standard equipment.

Cargo Space and Third-Row Access

Every 2026 Sienna comes with the 60/40 One-Motion-Stow Split & Stow 3rd Row seat. It folds flat into the rear cargo well in a single motion. Cargo volume runs from 33.5 cubic feet behind the third row to roughly 75 cubic feet behind the second row. Maximum volume reaches 101 cubic feet. The second-row seats cannot be removed or folded flat. The Super-Long-Slide track still lets you reposition them to open up the cabin.
