With six trim levels, available front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, and fuel economy reaching up to an EPA-estimated 43 MPG combined, the new RAV4 delivers on every front.

The 2026 RAV4 produces 226 horsepower with front-wheel drive and 236 horsepower with all-wheel drive — an 11% increase over the previous generation. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) manages power delivery smoothly, while regenerative braking recovers energy during deceleration to maximize efficiency.

Fuel economy ranges from an EPA-estimated 43 MPG combined on FWD models down to 38 MPG combined on the adventure-ready Woodland trim. City drivers benefit most, with ratings reaching up to 47 MPG in city driving for FWD configurations. These figures make the RAV4 one of the most fuel-efficient compact SUVs on the market.

Core Trims

The LE, XLE Premium, and Limited focus on everyday comfort and premium features. The LE starts at approximately $31,900 MSRP and offers a strong foundation with hybrid efficiency and essential technology. The XLE Premium adds conveniences like a power liftgate, synthetic leather upholstery, and wireless phone charging. The Limited tops the core lineup with leather seating, a panoramic moonroof, a 12.9-inch touchscreen, and a JBL premium audio system.

Sport Trims

The SE and XSE deliver a more aggressive appearance with black exterior accents and enhanced technology. The XSE is one of the most popular choices in the lineup, featuring heated and ventilated front seats and a hands-free power liftgate.
