If the off road world is your idea of fun, then you’ve probably gotten stuck somewhere along the way and had to dig your truck out, or worse, have it towed out. Not only is getting stuck an inconvenience, it can also be a bit expensive depending on the location of the retrieval.

Los Angeles Toyota dealers are thrilled to inform you that with the new 2016 Toyota Tacoma with Crawl Control you won’t have to worry nearly as much about getting stuck. Don’t worry, though; you’ll still be able to push the limits of sanity as you plunge through mud bogs, climb rocks, and plow through sand; you just won’t’ have to deal with getting stuck.

High Tech off Road Adventure

While off road driving is usually considered to be a stripped down activity where it’s a case of machine vs. nature, there are certain tools that off roaders consider necessary. A truck with 4-wheel drive, a winch, and mud tires are just a few. Thanks to the new Toyota Tacoma, off road driving is now a bit more high-tech.  Crawl Control is a very intricate system of computerized sensors and controls that help drivers get out of certain spots while they are off road driving. Crawl Control is a brand new system that has never been applied on a truck before.

Automatic Driving

When Crawl Control is activated, the system takes over.  Essentially, the system of computer and sensors will apply brakes and gas as needed to each wheel; all the driver has to do is steer. This makes it easy to climb out of sand, over rocks, and through mud without getting stuck. You have to bring your truck to a complete stop before activating Crawl Control so you have full command of your truck until you need to switch on a bit of an assist.

Toyota Tough

Toyota Tacoma has been known as a tough on and off road vehicle for many years. This newest innovation may seem to make the truck a little less manly and tough, but when it comes to being able to go through, over, and around any obstacles in your way, the Tacoma is still a top choice. Crawl Control simply keeps drivers from having to spend so much time digging and pushing or waiting for a tow.

This is the first major upgrade for the Tacoma in 10 years.  In the past 10 years, other mid-size truck manufacturers have created new designs, new body styles, and updated suspensions and engines, but none of that can compare to the new Crawl Control on the Toyota Tacoma.

If you want to check out the newest and best in off road technology, visit your local Los Angeles Toyota dealer today and take a test drive in the 2016 Toyota Tacoma. Keep in mind, it is a test drive, so don’t go into the backwoods and scratch it up, but you’ll still be able to get a feel for the truck in an on-road test drive.
