Toyota is celebrating a big milestone for its Yaris subcompact with a special edition sporting a hot new look for the vehicle. The Toyota Yaris Orange Edition introduces the Twisty Orange color to the Yaris palette, and also comes with several fun tech and styling features.

Soon available in Toyota dealerships in the United Kingdom, the new Yaris Orange Edition celebrates a recent production milestone for the model. The 3 millionth Yaris rolled off the production line at Toyota’s Valenciennes plant in northern France this year, and the Orange Edition is the Japanese automaker’s “thank you” to customers for making the vehicle a success.

The Yaris Orange Edition is a handsome vehicle, as its bright coloration creates a strong contrast with the vehicle’s black detailed door mirror casings, rear pillar, and side sills. A matte black finish for the vehicle’s honeycomb and some very attractive 16-inch alloy wheels also add to the vehicle’s appeal.

On the interior, Toyota designers have created an attractive and comfortable cabin. The vehicle’s black-on-black theme creates a stylish and elegant look for the Orange Edition Yaris. Orange stitching for the carpet mats reinforces the vehicle’s theme.

The Orange Edition Yaris is based on the Yaris Icon, but it gives buyers some pretty snazzy extras to choose from, including the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system, a back-up camera, and more.

2016 Toyota Yaris

Here in the U.S., Toyota spiffed up the American version of the Yaris with two new colors – Barcelona Red and Crushed Ice. The Yaris is a good choice for consumers seeking an inexpensive commuter. The Yaris comes in three trim levels, the L, the LE, and the SE. The top-of-the-line SE is sporty and has a lot of great features that drivers will love, including lots of options designed to maximize aesthetic appeal.

The Yaris is powered by a 1.5 liter four cylinder engine that produces 106 horsepower. It gets about 30 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.

Toyota has made some improvements to the Yaris in recent years to improve driver experience. The 2016 Yaris has stiff suspension and corners well, and great improvements have been made in reducing road and tire noise.

On the inside, the Yaris has a fairly comfortable cabin for a subcompact, offering the driver and front-seat passenger ample head and legroom. The Yaris probably works best as a two-occupant car, but the back seat does offer additional space for more passengers.

With regard to safety, the new Yaris has a four-star overall rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Toyota Yaris has been produced since 1999 and is sold in some markets as the Toyota Echo. The Yaris’s primary competitors are the Honda Fit and the Nissan Versa.
