2017 Camry: More Car, Same Price

The Toyota Camry has always been an excellent value, punching well above its weight in terms of performance, reliability, and creature comforts offered. The 2017 Camry is about to hit Toyota dealers nationwide, and this year’s model offers even more goodies while maintaining the same prices as the previous year’s model.

All trim levels of the popular mid-size sedan will retain their 2016 prices. The base level LE trim will start at $23,070, and the top shelf XSE V6 trim will start at $31,370, just like their 2016 counterparts.

Although the prices are staying level, the features and amenities offered by the best-selling car in the U.S. are significantly increasing. Toyota is serious about keeping the Camry’s top spot among mid-size sedans and has stepped up its game to beat back challenges from competitors.

New Features

For 2017, Toyota will make its Entune Audio Plus multimedia system featuring the Connected Navigation App and JBL Audio standard on its XLE and XSE trim levels. The Japanese automaker will also make the Qi Wireless Smartphone Charging system standard equipment on the XLE, XSE four-cylinder, and XLE Hybrid versions of the Camry.

Toyota is also throwing a new color on the palette for 2017. Buyers of the SE and XSE trim levels will be able to choose the Blue Streak Metallic color. This color was previously only available on the Camry’s 2016 Special Edition.

The new features offered by Toyota provide Camry buyers with a little more bang for their buck and will be sure to attract tech-minded consumers to the 2017 Toyota Camry.

Powertrain & Performance

The new Camry will have a variety of engines for consumers to choose from. The standard engine is a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine that generates 178 horsepower. Consumers can also upgrade to a 3.5 liter V6 that generates 268 horsepower on some trim levels. The Camry also comes in a hybrid version that combines a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine and an electric motor to generate 200 horsepower.

The Camry has a great reputation for providing a quiet, calm ride with plenty of passing power, and the 2017 model is likely to be no exception to this rule.

The Camry also has an excellent safety track record, and the 2017 model will incorporate a number of electronic features to ensure drivers and passengers are protected on the road. The new Camry will have a pre-collision system available with its Technology Package. This system includes automatic emergency braking, dynamic cruise control, lane departure alert, and automatic high beam lights.

The 2017 Toyota Camry offers blind spot alerts and rear cross traffic monitoring on its XLE and XSE trims. The vehicle also offers a generous number of airbags for front and rear seat passengers.

The Toyota Camry became the most popular car in the U.S. for a reason – it offers a tremendous amount of value for consumers’ car buying dollars. The new 2017 Camry continues the tradition, and it is a vehicle worth your consideration.
