When times are rough, people choose practicality over luxury. They hold onto their vehicles a little bit longer, and they lean towards purchasing used cars when they do need a vehicle. The end-of-year sales reports for 2013 showed that the auto industry continued to be a bright spot throughout the year. More people went to their Toyota dealerships looking for their choice in new Toyota cars in Los Angeles and around the world. Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc. sold more than 2.23 million vehicles in 2013, a 7.4 percent increase over the previous year. Sixty percent of that number was due to the introduction of 9 new or updated vehicle models, which include the Lexus IS and Lexus GX.

The Lexus sales were at 273,000, an increase of 12.2%, while the newly introduced Lexus IS saw triple-digit gains during December, a 26.4% increase for 2013. The Lexus RX is thought by many to be the ultimate luxury car, and it continues to be the best-selling luxury car for 2013.

The Lexus ES and Lexus GX also enjoyed significant gains for the year, with sales for the entire luxury segment outperforming the overall auto industry for December. Drivers are ready to join the ranks of luxury car owners by purchasing the model that is associated with quality and luxury. The various models of the Lexus make it a better choice for more types of drivers. To determine the best model for you, look at the lineup of Toyota cars online and compare.
